Genuine vintage milk bottles add a touch of history and charm

We're thrilled to hear this week from June Sommers in Perry Hall, USA where Berg's Farm Dairy used to be. June's family used to buy their milk and ice cream from Berg's and remember these bottles well.

This photo shows the farm back in the 1950s. June says she rode her first horse at the Dairy at the age of 3 and she and her 6 siblings have many fond memories of going into the old store and smelling the sweet scents of all the ice cream in the air. What a treat! Thank you so much for sharing this story and the photo with us June!

We love vintage items for the beautiful design work and typography in the labels and signage created for brands back then. This particular Berg's Farm Quart Bottle has the gorgeous and quirky illustration of a milkman inviting you to leave him a note. Popping one vintage item in with a mix of contemporary items helps you create a home with real heart and warmth. And don't be afraid to use them for their original purpose either! Use the small ones to serve milk or cream when putting out coffee or dessert. And the larger ones would be great to serve cordial at lunch.  See all our vintage milk bottles here.
